“想在众人鼓掌时离开。”
果然是‘品生品死’。2000年，当时站在人气最顶峰的Sechskies宣告解散。“最不希望听到人家说‘一点也不觉得可惜’。”殷志源评价自己的歌手活动有效期是“未来2年”，理由是无条件的“只想留下美好的回忆。”
殷志源认为到明年为止是他以歌手活动成为焦点最合适的时期。他今年的计划多数人听来都觉得有些破格——最近刚刚发行5辑的他今年预计将发表6张以上的单曲；不止是个人活动，他还有结成4人Project组合的构想；全国巡回演唱会也在议程之上；另外还将为Gilme担任制作人推出正规专辑；更有推出新人组合的准备。除KBS‘HS-21’以外所有的综艺节目固定出演都将中断也是因为他这“最后的灵魂”与“不朽的意志”。
但是作为歌手隐退并不意味着离开歌谣界，到死也要与音乐为伴的想法并没有改变。只是计划从舞台上下来，转而变身为现在也已经在做的制作人身份。

睽违5年的正规专辑……‘殷初丁’不见了。
准确地说是睽违了4年10个月。从最棒的偶像变身为Hiphop歌手的殷志源最近几年间作为‘殷初丁’所得到的注意更多，因此在这段休息期间也在摸索如何重新抓住麦克风。
“现在把主要精力放在做回歌手本业上，虽然一直都在忙很多其他事情，该做的还是都要做，现在正规专辑总算出来了。为了减少综艺色彩，最近的重点成了将两种形象差别化，不想使大家产生联想，希望能变身为另外一个人。”
看着封面照片，虽然知道这是同一个人，但是从专辑中丝毫找不到‘殷初丁’的影子。戴着墨镜、梳着雷鬼假发，完全是彻底的歌手殷志源。音乐则是以Hiphop为基础稍微做了变更的电子与复古的结合。
具有强烈节奏感的主打歌‘Siren’是有些回顾Sechskies时的意味。殷志源说“舞曲当然还是偶像们做得比较好，但是作为偶像出身，只是想在更来不及之前最后尝试一次。”
整个专辑的主题是爱。专辑的名称也是意为精神恋爱的‘Platonic’。也刚好符合与初恋重遇并再次开始交往的殷志源现在的心境。特别有‘就像第一次’这首描述了与女友初次见面时心就被俘虏了的歌曲。另外‘Everything’这首对女友告白始终都会爱她的歌曲成为了“女朋友最喜欢的歌曲”他说道。
殷志源的女朋友比他年长2岁，是足球选手李东国妻子的姐姐。这位他高中时的初恋是他在10个月前通过歌手J的个人主页再次与其联络上并再次开始交往的。｛←好吧，我不知道这个消息到底是不是准确，以前某新闻里说的是分手10个月后就再联络上的来着，另外当年‘来玩吧’里他貌似确实说过当时的女朋友是“在夏威夷打工时认识的”来着……——|||……混乱啊混乱……｝
已经是适婚年龄的两人经常会被问到结婚问题，对此殷志源说“好像多少还是有些负担，所以都没有谈到过类似的话题。双方的父母也都还没有见过面。结婚本身是明后年程度的计划，在那之前还是想要先做好音乐。”

音乐是要做到死为止……榜样是朴振英
全身心投入歌谣界已经13年过去了。沉浸于黑人音乐从而成为rapper，曾经历过最高的偶像生活，也做过正式的Hiphop歌手，如今在向制作人过渡，儿时的梦想几乎都已经实现了。
“制作的过程就像在做梦一样，完全沉浸其中，体会不到时间的流逝。回想一路走来这13年，始终觉得这是最值得的。看到我制作的歌手站在舞台上接受众人的欢呼，会比我自己做得好更令我感到幸福。”
他的第一批成果就是Gilme了。作为地下Hiphop歌手经历过400回公演经验的Gilme是在给殷志源做专辑配唱时与之结下了因缘。去年发表了两张单曲的Gilme在排行榜上的成绩已经超越了殷志源。第一次就取得这样的成绩他当然很高兴，但是想当然而其中的困难也是巨大的。
“新人时期很多自己的想法都不能表达，因为我太了解那种感觉，我便试图想要减轻这种困难。所以我往往会说一些温暖的话，给他们更多帮助。不只是作为社长与歌手的关系，而是营造一种像兄弟、兄妹一样平和舒服的关系，但这并不是想象中那么容易。”
梦想都一一实现了，似乎是时候暂时休息一下了，但是他却想要更加加速运转。殷志源说“现在才是开始，我们还没有看到尽头，只是站在第一个阶段，要记住这第一步。”他不打算休息。比起达成目的，构筑更大的框架才是令他满足的事情。
“音乐会继续出，同时也在继续发掘人才，会是什么样的流派现在也不清楚。我应该继续做下去直到死为止。作为制作人我的榜样是朴振英，不断吸取经验，不断进步，这是没有尽头的。做到举行面试时大家会第一个到我们公司来的程度，成为让做音乐的人喜欢并有所施展的地方。”

In 2000 at the height of their popularity Sechskies announced their disbandment "The one thing I don't want to hear people say is 'There is no regret at all'"
Jiwon evaluates the length of his singing carrear "Next 2 year" the only reason is
"I want to leave behind just the best memories."
Jiwon thinks from now till the end of next year would be the best period for him to be in the spot light because of his singing career, his plan for this year for most people might sound a little bit insane, He just released his 5th album but have plans in 2010 to release
6 or more Single.
Not just activities by himself he even have a plan to form a 4 person project group, a nation wide concert is also on the planning board, also he will serve as the producer for Gilme's full length album. Last but not least he also is preparing to launch a new group from his company. Besides KBS' "1n2d" he have already pulled out of all the rest of the variety show, all this because of his "last soul" and "undying conviction" for music.
Leaving the stage as a singer does not mean leaving the Gayo world, his conviction of being with music till he dies is still the same, just moving from on stage to off the stage.
5th album after 5 long years.... "Eun Choding" Is gone.To be accurate it has been 4 year and 10 month. From the best Idol to Hiphop musician, he gained more attention for being "Eun Choding" the last couple of year. Because of this he spend this period of time thinking how he can reclaim the stage again.
"I am focusing my energy on my main career as a singer right now, even though I have been busy in many other area, now that my album is out I am working on separating my two sides, I don't want to relate the variety show side to the music side, I want to transform my self to another image.
Looking at the album cover, even though we know it is the same person, but there is no trace of "Eun choding" in the album. With his sunglasses, dreadlock hair, he is totally 100 % singer Eun Jiwon, the music in this album is with hiphop as the foundation but adding in autotone.
The 1st song he is promoting is "Siren" this song was made as a memory for sechskies days. Jiwon says "Dance song is still done best by Idols, but I am one of the original Idols, I just wanted to give it a try before it is too late."
This whole album's concept is all about LOVE. Album's title is also describing love beyond just the physical level on to love on to mental level "Platonic". It fits Jiwon's state of mind perfectly right now. Especially with song like "Like the first time" that talks about how meeting his girlfriend for the 1st time and losing his heart to her, and "Everything" the song that says he will love her till end "Have now become my girlfriend's favorite song."
Jiwon's girlfriend is older than him by 2 years and is the sister of football star Lee Don Guo's wife. She is the 1st love of Jiwon back when he was in high school in Hawaii, he reconnected with her when he saw her picture on singer J's website and started going out again about 10 month ago.
Both of them are at the age where they constantly get ask the marriage question, to that Jiwon answers "Really we have not discuss anything relating to this topic, our parents have not even had a meeting, marriage it self is either next or next next year's plan, before that I still want to focus on my music."
Music is something that I will do till I die...... My example would be Park Jin YoungIt's been 13 years since Jiwon debuted in the world of music, he has been through the highest of high and the lowest of low, he has been the most popular idol, and also a Hiphop artist, now he is transitioning toward becoming a producer, all his dreams since he was a kid is coming true.
"The time spend producing is like a dream, I am completely engulf by it, I don't notice the time passing by. Thinking back to my journey in music for the past 13 years, I don't regret is one bit, this is worth it, seeing the Singer that I produce on stage being cheer on by the audience, that makes me more happy then if it was me up there."
The first fruit of his labor is Gilme, as an underground hiphop artist that has had over 400 performance, Gilme got to know Jiwon when she was singing the vocal for his album. Gilme release 2 single last year, and on some chart is surpassing Jiwon's song, Jiwon is very please that his first project is able to achieve such a great result, but the hard work involved is beyond imagination.
"As a rookie, you really can not express any of your personal ideas, I understand that feeling all too well, because of that I am trying to ease that burden with Gilme (he actually said them in the sentence, I think that means he have more people signed already under his company) To give them more help. Not just as a CEO and his singers, but more like a older brother-younger brother, older brother- younger sister, easy and comfortable relationship, but that wasn't as easy as I thought it would be too."
All of his dreams are being fulfilled one by one, it seems like it is almost time to take a break, but instead of doing that, he wants to move even faster. Jiwon said "Now is the true beginning, we have not even seen what we are capable of, this is just the first step, you have to remember the first step." He have no intention of resting, instead of just achieving one goal, building a bigger structure is what will satisfy him.
"I will continue to come out with music, also continue to discover and acquire talent, I don't really know what music group or genre it will be. But I will probably continue to do it till I die. As a producer the person that I look up to is Park Jin Young, always learning, always advancing, there is no end in sight. I want to make my company into a place that it is the first stop people make when they are auditioning, and a place where people who enjoys making music can learn and show the world their talents."
This is my 3rd time typing my thought on this article, it got erase the last 2 time due to some odd reason, hopefully third time is the charm.
so as a fan after reading the article I was acutually very very excited! 6 or more singles! national wide concerts! 4 member project group (Jiwon, Sunghoon, Jaeduc, Jaejin?? One can hope!) New talent from his company! Full album from Gilme! and 1n2d! How in the world is he going to be able to fit all THIS in 2010??
Yes eventually Jiwon will leave the stage, but for me at least I don't think he will leave forever, I mean just look at Park Jin Young! he is still on stage singing and performing!
